Keith Bloomer – Technical Sales Manager, POYNTING Europe

“I am 47 Years old – well they say that 40 is the new 20, so let’s just say I am 27!”

Keith has a Foundation degree in ‘Electronics For Computing’, and is one year into an MBA with the Edinburgh Business School. His aim is to complete his MBA by the end of 2020. He also has a certificate in Practical Antenna Design from Oxford University.

Keith has worked professionally in radio communications for over 25 years. After leaving college, he started working as a bench engineer, repairing two-way radios (VHF/UHF) and programming mobile phones, which gave him a good grounding in electronics and RF. In his mid 20’s, Keith worked for Nokia Mobile Phones in an R&D team. He managed an Aftersales function covering North America, which looked at factory yields, field failures, training bench engineers, and managing technical updates. His working career has included commissioning various radio systems such as wideband CDMA systems all over the world, from Ireland to the USA, from China to Haiti. For the past 10 years, Keith has been involved in technical sales related activities, the majority of this relating to radio communication systems for mines and tunnels.

Outside of work, Keith enjoys cycling, watching football, cooking, travelling with family, and to a lesser degree running!

He is very excited to join POYNTING, as one of the leading manufacturers of professional antennas in the world, he strives towards ensuring connectivity for all wireless devices is optimised for the best user experience. Keith has always been interested in Antenna technology, so working in a technology area that is also an interest is an opportunity not to be missed!
