FAQ: I have a 4×4 MIMO antenna but my router only has 2 antenna ports. Can I still use this antenna with my router? How should I connect the antenna?

Yes, you can still use your 4x4 MIMO antenna with a 2x2 MIMO router. Since your router has only two antenna ports, you should select one antenna pair from the 4×4 MIMO antenna. Use the cables labeled Cell 1 Main and Cell 1 Aux (or Cell 2 Main and Cell 2 Aux) and connect them to your router. This allows the antenna to operate in 2×2 MIMO mode, which matches your router’s capabilities, and make full usage of cross-polarization, should you have one of our XPOL antennas.

We recommend terminating the remaining two connectors with a 50 Ohm RF terminator to maintain proper impedance.

Please do not use splitters or adapters to combine connectors, as this can degrade performance.
