Short Summary

The Quality Assurance Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that products are made correctly and meet all standards set by the company. This can include inspecting products, testing products, and making sure that all documentation is correct.
This position supports all Production and Operational functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all the company’s quality, safety, and environmental effort. Responsibility as a Quality Assurance Coordinator includes developing processes to collect data needed to define the metrics for tracking and measuring quality results.

Key Responsibilities


  • Oversee the Production process along with the Production Manager to ensure adherence to established quality standards, specifications, and procedures.
  • Provide training and support to the Production team on quality procedures and standards.
  • Support the Production Manager with administrative duties.


  • Support the Quality Assurance Manager with quality management systems, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
  • Assist with audits and inspections to identify non-conformances and recommends corrective actions.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management, highlighting areas for improvement and potential risks.
  • Facilitate quality improvement projects.

Safety, Health & Environment

  • Monitor the implementation of Safe Work Procedures and maintain and update all relevant SHE administrative duties.
  • Conduct safety audits, hazard assessments, and inspections to identify potential safety risks and hazards.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs and materials for employees to increase safety awareness and reduce accidents.
  • Investigate and report on accidents, injuries, and near-misses, and take appropriate actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and records, including incident reports, safety statistics, and training records.
  • Assist in safety Committee meetings to review safety performance, discuss safety issues, and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and maintain an inspection and evaluation program for workspace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with SHE standards and regulations.
  • Advise project team on the application and interpretation of policies, rules, and regulations of shareholder and legislator requirements.
  • Facilitate the investigation of incidents to identify root causes and determine how much incidents may be prevented in future.
  • Assist in emergency and crisis management plans.
  • Act as an emergency coordinator on site.

Administration and Reporting

  • General correspondence and administration completed accurately and timeously.
  • Email, inbox, and data managed timeously and effectively.
  • Professional image maintained in all communication.
  • All reporting and feedback requirements met, and reports completed accurately and timeously, according to company requirements.
  • Drafting, maintaining, and ensuring adherence to departmental processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Supply statistics and information as requested.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Operations Management or related area of study.
  • 2-4 years’ similar work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Quality documentation experience.
  • Quality Control experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
