High-Performance Multi-Frequency Antenna for Maritime & Mobility Applications

Poynting Antennas proudly introduces the SWIRL antenna solution, designed for both maritime and mobility applications. The SWIRL-8 features a high-performance antenna array that ensures seamless connectivity across multiple networks, making it a versatile choice for demanding environments.

Advanced Multi-Frequency Coverage: Equipped with 8 cross-polarised cellular antennas covering 617 to 6000 MHz with a peak gain of 6 dBi.
Dual-Band Wi-Fi Support: Includes 4 dual-band Wi-Fi antennas supporting 2.4 GHz and 5 to 7.2 GHz for enhanced wireless performance.
High-Precision GNSS Antenna: Features a dual-band GNSS system for L1 and L5 constellations, ensuring accurate positioning.
Rugged & Weatherproof Design: Compact with dimensions of 382 mm in diameter and 127 mm in height, featuring an IP69K rating for durability in harsh conditions.
Versatile Applications: Primarily designed for maritime connectivity but also suitable for mobility applications, ensuring robust network coverage.

Transforming SWIRL-8 into a CPE Solution

The SWIRL-8 can be upgraded into a Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) device by incorporating the SWIRL-BASE. This cast aluminium base is specifically designed to house 5G routers, available in sizes of 231 x 193 x 50 mm or 293.5 x 148.5 x 50 mm. Installing the router within the base reduces coaxial cable runs, improving performance by minimising signal loss.

Additional Benefits

  1. Simplified Deployment: The SWIRL-8-02 provides an all-in-one solution, simplifying installation by housing both the antenna array and 5G router(s) in a single unit, reducing setup complexity.
  2. Optimised Performance: Housing the router within the same enclosure as the antennas minimises cable loss and improves signal integrity, resulting in better performance, especially in challenging environments where maintaining a stable connection is crucial.
  3. Router Housing Compatibility: The SWIRL-BASE can accommodate routers of 231 x 193 x 50 mm (9.094 x 7.60 x 1.97 inches) or 293.5 x 148.5 x 50 mm (11.56 x 5.85 x 1.97 inches).
  4. Compact Design: The SWIRL-8-02 features a streamlined form factor with dimensions of 382 mm (15.039 inches) in diameter and 224 mm (8.82 inches) in height.
