FAQ: How do I know if a POYNTING antenna is compatible with my router?

POYNTING antennas are router-agnostic, meaning they can work with most routers as long as a few checks are done:

  1. Frequency Compatibility: Ensure the antenna supports the frequency bands used by your router for 4G/5G, Wi-Fi, or other technologies. Most POYNTING antennas have ultra-wideband coverage, making them compatible with most networks.
  2. MIMO Compatibility: Verify that the number of antenna ports on your router matches the MIMO configuration you intend to use (2×2, 4×4, etc.).
  3. Connectors: Ensure the antenna’s connectors are compatible with your router’s ports. If they are not, you may need suitable adapters to achieve a proper connection without signal loss. Always choose adapters rated for the relevant frequency bands to maintain optimal performance.
