INA TV provides satellite distribution & full event production services to clients. This includes Satellite Mobile Links, Multicamera Vans, Crewing, Editing, Production equipment & personnel. With offices in Greece, Belgium, the UK, and Cyprus they are able to offer their clients services on a 24/7 basis.
This customer approached POYNTING when they were looking for a communication solution while covering the Athens Marathon at the end of 2022. Runners were recorded by camera crews on two motorcycles and in a support vehicle. It was a complicated problem having to provide high quality antennas, that are both compact and can be used as a mobile solution.
The antennas also had to be broadband as they needed to make use of LTE, 4G or 5G, whichever mobile network coverage was available. To ensure consistent quality they rely on their own communication system and do not rely on the customer’s infrastructure. They used the DEJERO SISO Modem with Bonding Capacity and therefore needed 8×8 MIMO antennas per router.
After discussions between Birger Hillaert from POYNTING and Dimitrios Ladas and Yannis Koligliatis (CEO of INA TV) it was decided to use 2x OMNI-214, 4×4 MIMO 5G / LTE Antennas.
This ultra-wide band covers all contemporary operating frequencies with excellent balanced gain across all frequencies. Higher frequencies are not compromised, and the antenna design allows POYNTING to have superior pattern control over the entire frequency range, making these OMNIs true high performance omni-directional antennas.
INA TV was very happy with the results. Not only did the antennas perform very well, the service and speed with which the antennas were delivered also meant they could put together a customized solution in record time.
