Keith Bloomer, Tjeerd Huitema and Juan Potgieter from Poynting have been doing quite a bit of travelling lately. Keith attended an M2M/IoT exhibition in France, Tjeerd attended a Gamma conference in Poland and Juan visited some of our Poynting partners in Australia. M2M /IoT Exhibition – Paris, France

Keith Bloomer, Technical Sales Manager (Europe) at Poynting Europe, attended the M2M/IoT exhibition in Paris on 20 and 21 March. He used this opportunity to meet with QL3D, our existing distributor for the French IoT/M2M markets.

Below are some photos of the comprehensive display of Poynting antennas on the QL3D stand. This, combined with their effort to translate our product guide into French, attracted a lot of interest from attendees. Going Down Under to Poynting’s Australian Partners

During the month of February, Mrs Juan Potgieter, Head of International Sales had the privilege to visit three of Poynting’s Australian Partners based in Sydney. With the beautiful Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge as a distinct landmark of Sydney Juan’s first stop was at RFI Technology Solutions to meet with Mr Ian Ferrett, Category Manager at RFI Industries. RFI designs, develops and manufactures high-performance antennas, system components and repeater / rebroadcast systems at two manufacturing facilities within Australia. They are selling Poynting Antennas LPDA-0092, XPOL-0002-V2 and XPOL-0001 as OEM products.

Day 2 in Sydney was to meet with our very large Mining Integrating Partner called Mine Site Technologies. Mr Keith Moir the Supply Chain Manager hosted Juan at MST. MST Global (MST) provides mine communications networks and operational productivity solutions which assist organisations in the mining, resources and industrial sectors to optimally manage their core business operations. They utilize Poynting Antennas Heli Range of Mining antennas.

Last stop was to Blue Wireless in the lovely Manly area, meeting with Roger Mak, Joop Gerlach and Bas Breure. Blue Wireless is Asia’s first Wireless Network Service Provider for business. Gamma Conference – Poland

Gamma as one of the leading distributors of subassemblies and electronic components in Poland and proud partner of Poynting Antennas. Dariusz Bednarczyk and his colleagues organized a wonderful and well attended IoT Solution Day on 19 March 2019, during which leading suppliers of IoT products, services and solutions presented their product proposals for the development of the IoT industry.

Tjeerd Huitema, MD Poynting Europe, provided, what attendees expressed, a very interesting speech on the critical role the (broadband) antenna plays in wireless IoT communication solutions. It is the Poynting antenna which ensures a stable and reliable connection between the monitored object and the telecoms network (or other network technologies such as LoRa and Sigfox). Only with high performance and future proof antennas one can be assured that data are transferred accurately and one has access to a remote site when required on wished. The antenna is critical to your bottom line and makes a real difference!
