Hi, I am Mayibongwe Dube I’m the newly appointed RF Engineer (Jr) at POYNTING Antennas’ R&D department.
I started my career at Alaris Antennas as a Junior Antenna & RF Design Engineer where the focus was on the design and measurement of Electronic Warfare antennas and related RF products. I finished my bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering at the University of Johannesburg in 2019 and my master’s in Electrical & Electronic Engineering with a focus in Artificial Intelligence in 2022. Despite my love for RF electronics and Antenna design, I also have a passion for AI and robotics particularly self-driving cars and would love to one day be involved in their design! During my spare time, I enjoy learning about new technologies and have since written a full stack self-driving cars software that runs in CARLA, an open-source 3D autonomous driving simulator (available on my GitHub page).
I enjoy going on road trips with friends and family and working out in the gym to keep mentally focused. I also enjoy watching sports as I am a big Liverpool FC and Formula 1 fan.
I hope to grow and develop into a technically sound Engineer during my time here at POYNTING.”
Hello, I am Pitsi K. Kgosana, the new Configurations Co-ordinator at POYNTING Antennas.
This is an exciting role for me, and I am looking forward to the knowledge and experience to be gained here, as well as the career growth opportunity that I am presented with. I completed my diploma in electronics engineering from the Tshwane University of Technology in 2019. Thereafter, I worked as a control and instrumentation engineer in the mining sector, providing hardware designs and configurations for process automation.
I am fascinated by seeing a concept bloom into a design, then seeing it go through the development phase, and finally to a finished product that better mankind’s way of living. I believe that the work done here at POYNTING is an important one, bringing connectivity to the world and constantly improving that. I am eager to provide valuable input from my role and to be part of a team that improves the quality of life from the background and in the foreground through connectivity.
