Upgrading from 2×2 to 4×4 MIMO with your current #POYNTING Antennas

Question:

Which options do I have if I have a 2x2 MIMO setup using 2 x LPDA-92 antennas with a BRKT-33 and want to move to 4x4 MIMO with the TELTONIKA RUTX50 that I have purchased?

Answer:

First Option:

Since you already have the 2x LPDA-92's with bracket a BRKT-33, you can add another set of these. So you will have 4x LPDA-92's with 2xBRKT-33's. These two sets of antennas can be mounted +- 50cm apart.

Please ensure that both sets of antennas are facing or pointing towards the same base station when installed, to ensure that you benefit from the 4x4 MIMO technology.

Second Option:

A second option is buying an XPOL-2-5G, which is two antennas in one enclosure, and mount it +- 50cm from the LPDA-92s. They are connected to the Teltonika RUTX50 router as per the illustration. *Please note the LPDA-92s in the illustration is not shown mounted on the bracket.
