The EPNT-7 offers dependable wireless performance in harsh, high-vibration settings such as mines, ports, warehouses, and agricultural sites.
To ensure strong and stable connections, the EPNT-7 includes cross-polarised antennas that reduce signal loss and interference. It supports 4x4 MIMO technology, which improves data throughput and performance, especially in complex or obstructed environments. The antenna operates on both the 2.4 GHz and 5–6 GHz frequency bands, making it suitable for a wide range of Wi-Fi applications. An optional GNSS antenna can also be included for tracking, timing, or navigation needs.
The EPNT-7 is purpose-built to integrate compact router modules such as the Rajant Cardinal, offering a plug-and-play enclosure with multiple built-in features. These include passive Power over Ethernet (PoE), a grey powder-coated cast aluminium base for effective thermal dissipation, and a transparent LED window for quick visual diagnostics. The router can be securely mounted inside the enclosure using pre-drilled holes, which simplifies installation, reduces cabling requirements, and protects sensitive electronics from external damage.
The EPNT-7 is specifically designed for installation on Light Duty Vehicles (LDVs) and service trucks such as Toyota Land Cruisers, Hilux, Scania, and Volvo models. These vehicles are often used in demanding environments where vibration and exposure to the elements can affect communication systems. With its compact and rugged form, the EPNT-7 provides a stable platform for wireless connectivity on the move. The enclosure is ideal for installations where space is limited but performance is non-negotiable.
The EPNT-7 is built to withstand tough conditions. It is rated IP69K (protection against water and dust) and IK08 (impact resistance), offering peace of mind in outdoor and industrial settings. The housing includes secure cable routing and strain relief, which prevents wear and disconnection caused by vehicle movement or vibrations. The enclosure supports various mounting options, including surface and optional pole and magnetic mounts—making it easy to install in different scenarios.
The antenna covers the 2.4 GHz and 5–6 GHz bands with antenna gain levels of 3.5 dBi (2.4 GHz) and up to 7.5 dBi (5–6 GHz). It uses 4x4 MIMO for enhanced signal performance and includes cross-polarised antenna elements for greater stability. The enclosure is purpose-built to integrate compact router modules such as the Rajant Cardinal and includes passive PoE, thermal management, and diagnostic visibility. Its physical dimensions are 275 x 134 x 125 mm (10.83 x 5.28 x 4.92 in), and it carries IP69K and IK08 environmental ratings. Supported mounting options include surface or an optional magnet or pole mount.
The EPNT-7 is ideal for vehicles operating in both surface and underground mines. It helps enable reliable mesh networking and real-time communication for operators using rugged LDVs. It is not intended for large yellow machinery or heavy-duty earth-moving equipment.
